Using PINs to control access

Each employee in the system has a private, 4-digit numeric PIN to confirm their identity, established when the employee account is created. PINs are used to confirm a number of functions within Instore, including cash drawer transactions, refunds, time tracking, and establishing/changing the cashier on the register. With PINs, Owners can track which employees initiated which transactions for auditing purposes. The Journal on the Cash Drawer tab of Instore lists all cash drawer transactions next to the employee who initiated the transaction. On Office, Orders and Refunds are all viewable and include the cashier’s name.
